Competition – Homecomings

As you read this, I’m probably swanning about Disneyland, drinking far too much soda but having the time of my life. :D

Writing The City, an initiative by the our National Arts Council and British Council in Singapore, has another competition!

Titled ‘Homecomings’, it’s open for prose up to 650 words or poetry up to 30 lines long.

In partnership with Playback Theatre’s ‘Encounters 2014’ project, Writing the City invites you to write a short piece of fiction or poetry that conjures up the idea of richly multicultural Singapore as ‘home.’ […] You can write about any period in the country’s history, but our judge will be looking for entries that are original, well-crafted and thought provoking.

You can win up S$80 in Kinokuniya bookstore vouchers, which will get you a good number of some very handsome books. Full competition details here! The deadline is 30 September 2014.
